Meet Javon Trottman-Floyd

I founded Outside-In Consulting because I know how much happens behind the board report, the job title, and the carefully worded email. Leaders need somewhere to speak honestly and get practical help before another manageable problem becomes a crisis.

I’m Javon Trottman-Floyd, a workplace strategist with more than 20 years of nonprofit experience and a background in organizational development. I bring an outside perspective grounded in the responsibility of leading from within. I understand what it means to make decisions when the budget is tight, the team is stretched, and the work cannot stop.

Through Outside-In, I help nonprofits strengthen operations and use data to make decisions they can stand behind. I also help leaders explore where AI can save time and improve everyday work while keeping their judgment at the center. Innovation has to earn its place by being useful.

For individual professionals across industries, I offer career coaching and a trusted thought partner for navigating interviews, leadership, and workplace dynamics. You can be capable and experienced and still need support.
